Because you deserve the best

Hello fellow Glowers,

What projects have you started? How have you been? Has your garlic come up yet?

Let’s hop into the update.

In November, we ditched the fabric we had been using for the leggers. It’s still a great fabric. In the end, the amount of stretch finished into the fabric by the manufacturer wasn’t enough for the design.

You deserve the best.

We have experimented with 5 new fabrics. Two are clear winners.

Jerry, left, making the prototypes. Teri, right, and I make final design decisions on details and fit.

Touching and seeing these fabrics in action is far better. One is from Schoeller, a swiss company and premium outdoor fabric manufacturer. The other is from Everest, an asian functional fabric company who recently opened a factory in North Carolina. Both produce Bluesign fabric which is the highest level for environmental, health and safety requirements.

The major difference is the weight of the two fabrics. The Schoeller is 6 ounces and the Everest is 10 ounces. They share many of the same qualities. They feel different and it depends what you like better. The Everest “coldshine” feels more substantial and in some jobs you do, that’s the feeling you want. will protect your legs. The Schoeller “hotshine” will be better working in hotter temperatures or if you are prone to getting hot. It’s overall less material 6oz < 10oz. Like, Duh.

We are working out the sizing for the leggers. Then we can “grade” which means make all the sizes. So. Much. Closer. #1%inspiration99%persperation.
